Foscoe-Grandfather is an unincorporated community outside of Boone, North Carolina. We are centrally located in the High Country in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Our valley is nestled below the iconic Grandfather Mountain.

Historic Significance.
A history section for this website is in the works because Foscoe has an interesting background. Starting as a farming community in the days of settlers, the area has evolved. Relics of the past remain such as a cemetery with a Revolutionary War soldier, an old railroad bed from the ET/WNC Railroad and more.
A Unique Climate
Foscoe is situated at 3,000’ elevation, but hilltops can range up to over 3500.’ When areas like Banner Elk have several inches of snow we may only get a dusting.
